In my personal life, I take pride that I am close to my family and family values have enabled me to be a success in society. My parents enabled my brother and myself to have positive role models and always taught that education was the key to a positive and productive life. My mom and dad have been married for 30 years and are two people who I admire and feel bless for having in my life. Though my brother is 6 ½ years younger than me, we are very close and I feel bless to have a great sibling to hang out with. My family has always supported me by being a part of my life and becoming involved with activities that are important to me.

In addition, I enjoy spending time with my best friends. Their friendship gives me lots of laughter and fun as I have known my best friends for over 10 years. Living in the Houston area all my life, I have been exposed to many positive aspects of life. I enjoy writing and reading and have written poems and shot stories throughout my life. Other hobbies include collecting angels, smile faces, unicorns, sea shells, crosses, coins and dainty figurines. My favorite singer is Elvis Presley and I am a devout fan of his. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends and I love to get to know new people so I am always talking and learning about different people. I also enjoy taking pictures and have photos throughout my room and classroom. I enjoy the outdoors and staying in for a movie. I love to learn new things and enjoy topics related to many aspects of life. I take pride that I have achieved success through education and provide an example to my students that success is obtainable if determination, priorities, goals, dreams and support from family are the center of personal succes.
